Silver as an Investment

If you are looking for investments, then the best time to invest in bullion is right now. You see, the demand for it now exceeds its production so people are really buying it. Even the government who once dumped billions and billions of it onto the world market is now buying it. The best to invest in is silver. I know most of you think Gold is better but silver has been gaining ground. As in investment, silver is available in coin or in ingot form. Ingots are are of pure bullion made into a convenient size and shape. If you are interested, Monex Deposit Company (MDC) offers them for immediate personal delivery or they can arrange for convenient and safe storage too!

Photo for the Day

This will be my photo for today. This is a part of the home tour the Rebel and I did. This one is my favorite of the bunch. The picture is sort of mysterious and feels like it has a story to tell. I also like the contrasting colors of the stairs and the flip flop.

Rest

Ah, vacation time! It's by God's grace that I got to be allowed to go on leave for 5 days. Throw in my rest days and that's a total of 9 days woot! Thank you Father that you demand even my rest! Truly what a great God we serve!
Anyway, I have been enjoying my rest so far. Well, it's been hectic going back and forth to my parents and here but I never mind the physical stuff. What's important is I get to spend some time with the husband and our families. I will truly cherish these times.

Ordinary Things

The Rebel and I have been having some wonderful time together. Not really going places as I hoped we'd do but more of staying at home and seeing things in a new light. That is one of the things I love about photography, you see things in new perspective, the mundane, ordinary things become unordinary when seen through the viewfinder. The other day, The Rebel and I went through the house and captured stuff that I pass by everyday. Things that I neglect. But when captured by the Rebel...

3rd Wedding Anniversary

Thank you everyone who remembered our wedding anniversary. It's been a fun filled 3 years and we are still going strong. We did a simple celebration. Just had lunch somewhere and chitchats about what we were doing at that time of our wedding day. The reason for that simple celebration was lack of time. I came from work and still had a shift tonight so we were pressed for time. We decided, the size of the celebration didn't really matter as long as we are together. Here's to more years ahead!

HID Lights

I recently saw a wedding picture that was taken at night. I was awed by how well the lighting was. Much to my surprise, I found out that the light they used were zenon lights from the grooms truck! It was an awesome idea. It runs out the lighting equipment went ahead to the reception venue so they had nothing to use until they thought of the groom's truck. It turned out really great! If you are curious, Zenon lights are High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting that is really great in lighting your path while driving down the road. This newest dimension in lighting will be really useful when you're driving and suddenly find yourself in the middle of a storm and couldn't see the road. It would be a real life saver, I bet! If you are interested, these babies are sold at BuyAutoTruckAccessories.com. They carry Hella and Optilux Zenon lights which are engineered in Germany.

Balance

Let me share with you a photo of our cousin Dia. This was taken at Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife and I sort of added a quote to make it look like a poster. What do you think? I have several pictures of that day but I haven't gotten around to post processing them. I am almost done though so I will be posting it here soon.

Sleeeeepy

I am soooo sleepy. I only slept for about an hour and a half since 6PM last night. I accompanied our ninang to TriNoMa today for some errands so my feet hurt too. But that's okay since I was able to drool over my dream 7 million dollar home camera bag by Crumpler. It is quite expensive and my savings could not take a hit at this point. But I promise to save up for it. I got to get some zzz's for now. I'll blog more tomorrow as I have a couple of assignments lined up. G'nyt everyone!

On Mortgages

It is still fresh in my memory. The day my mom and dad announced we will be moving because my grandfather mortgaged the house and is not able to pay anymore. It was the first time I have heard about mortgages and I honestly didn't have the teeniest clue about it at the time. My father explained that my grandfather did his best and even tried to find some cheap mortgages to no avail. What made me remember? Well because my cousin in the UK and her husband are currently planning on a remortgageand are currently searching the net and comparing plans. I honestly am proud with both of them when it comes to financial matters. They're just so good in saving up and using their funds. Well, at least when the time comes for me and the husband to take out a mortgage, we'd have people to go to for advice, eh?

The Rebel

I wasn't able to blog about getting the Rebel here. My apologies. The weekend got busy and before I knew it, Monday was here and work got in the way. But for those curious and interested, I posted about getting the rebel here. It's been and still is an adventure for me. I love taking pictures with the Rebel and I can't wait to travel with it. Not this year though, buying it made a huge hole in my pocket lol!

Bookcases

Besides buying The Rebel this Christmas, the husband and I are planning on getting some Solid Oak Bookcases , 2 of them in fact, to house my collection of books and our collection of DVD's. The small bookcase we have would not fit all of them. If it was up to the husband, he's just stash them someplace but being the OC that I am, I want them too look organized and nice!

So as usual, it's the www for me. I searched and found a site that offers Solid Oak Bookcases in various styles. BarnFurniture has the most amazing sets of book cases I was literally drooling. I want I want! And did you know many of their bookcases include free shipping? Yes FREE! And just by providing your zip code, they can tell you if they deliver to your area, show special pricing and even help you find a showroom! How cool is that huh? Not a lot of shops offer that.

Now our only dilemma is we can't seem to agree on a style that we want. He wants a Mission bookcase with doors while I want 2 of the Traditional Oak Bookcase and also the Mahogany Corner bookcase. You should have seen the husbands eyes, it was wide as a platter thinking of the cost! But you know, when we checked, the prices are quite reasonable. To the husband's relief!

The Peso and The Rebel

And it's down to Php 41.88 to $1. Frustrating because prices of basic commodities don't even go down. Kakainis. Call me bad but I hope after the holidays, the peso will weaken against the dollar. At least, the OFW's who work their a** off abroad would feel the worth of their efforts naman.

On a lighter note, 1 tulog na lang and I'll see the Rebel. I am now planning for a trip - no make that trips sometime next year to put the Rebel to good use hihihi! Kaso, I am confused now. My colleague is insisting I buy the Nikon D40x instead. I know they're both good cameras but I can't decide which I really want. Bahala na tomorrow. :P

Plus the company just announced today that they have a tie up with Fitness First. Whee! Easier cause salary deduction ang monthly payments. But my friend is saying we go to Gold's Gym, cheaper daw. Any thoughts?

Do You Speak Spanish?

Spanish is the second most widely spoken language in the United States today and most of the time, people who naturally speak spanish have a hard time searching for what they need, much less speaking to a customer service agent about their questions and complaints. But now, hotels.com has revolutionized the way the Spanish public search for their travel needs. They can now search and book their Hoteles through hotels.com. The site has been designed to meet the needs and interests of Spanish-speaking people in the United States and is comprehensive and site friendly enough and guess what? They also have a dedicated customer service center just for people who speak Spanish. So, habla espanol?

Indecisive

Have you ever felt like you want to do a lot of things and yet you never have the time to do them? I do and right now I've been having really strong feelings about it. The problem is I am trying to put my feelings into perspective and not act on my feelings too hastily. Cause what I want to do now, requires a lot of thinking!

6 More Days and You'll be Mine!

I am very excited! 6 more days and I will be holding my own Rebel! :) Wheee! In all honesty, I am having a hard time going to sleep just thinking about it. Overrated, I know, but I've been wanting this since last year. I just hope that the moolah I've been waiting for will arrive promptly.

A Samsung LCD

Aside from the Rebel, I'd really want to have our very own samsung 40 inch LCD! Can I just have both? Well, unfortunately not. Our savings couldn't take that big a hit! My friend is suggesting I get it over the internet but I'd rather not. When buying appliances I'd rather go to a store and check it out myself. Good thing there's Krillion.com. Krillion can help you find the exact TV you want at retailers nearest you with their comprehensive product, pricing and location information. Based on their unique localization engine, they provide the most accurate results available. Check them out!

Am Back

I am back! Well, I had no internet connection for a couple of days thanks to the amazing SmartBro. Yeah Amazing alright! I was just so pissed. But hey, could you even blame them, there's just those times when things get ruined and technical difficulties. I am still into blog hopping so I'll be back in a bit to post some more.
