Guestbook Sheets

I finished doing the layout of two of the sheets for our guestbook. We plan to put one for every table and then have guests answer a few questions at the back like: "Any advice for the newlyweds?" , "Your predictions: Date of birth of first child:, Number of children:," , Special message for the newlyweds:" , "Any favorite memory of the couple?" This way, it would be more easier for the guests to write something. Plus it would make a great read after the wedding, not to mention a treasured memento of those who shared the day with us. =) Got this idea from the WeddingsAtWork. =) Tell me what you think, email me for any comments and suggestions =) Posted by Hello

Measurements...Check!

Hay what a fun and busy day! One more detail down. =) Was at Jasper's house early morning palang. I helped them cook and set up for the activity. Grabe at 11am I was trying to contact Farley kaya lang OMG! walang sumasagot sa phone nila! This was wierd cause everytime I call Farley up, laging may sumasagot sa phone nila 2 rings palang. And now, walang sumasagot! By 12:30 I was in panic mode! What if 'di dumating si Farley?! Nakakahiya naman sa mga relatives and friends na pupunta! By 1:30PM, finally, Farley called up. Nasira daw ang lahat ng phone line sa lugar nila. Ayun ready to go na sila, what a relief! We ate lunch na and by 1:45, we left for Chowking(Edsa-Kamuning) to fetch Rochelle, Jasper's officemate and one of our secondary sponsors. 5 minutes after we arrived, Farley called up naman, so I had to go back sa Chowking to fetch him. Tapos ayun, sunud sunod na dumating mga entourage namin save for a few who couldn't make it. Farley and I discussed my wedding gown. I had a print out na of a design I wanted. Tas I asked for a quote, grabe he was super affordable! Then I chose the cloth for the entourage. I chose a two toned shantung for them, burgundy colored =) After I picked the cloth and color that I wanted, measurements proceeded na for me and the female entourage. Tapos we ate merienda na. It was so much fun! parang may party kanila Jasper. Jasper's mom was busy introducing everyone. Tapos kami naman ni Jasper were busy entertaining the guests and assisting Farley with the measurements, answering questions and stuff. Sayang we didn't have a camera handy so we weren't able to take pictures. =/

Everyone texted us and said they had fun during the measurements. I had to smile and of course medyo nagkaron ng iyakan as I embraced my future mother, and father and brother-in-law to thank them for the wonderful support they gave me and Jasper. Of course I also thanked my honey, Jasper, for being so supportive with our wedding preparations. Sabi ko nga sakanila I wouldn't know what to do kung wala sila. They're such a wonderful family and I couldn't ask God for anything more! My family may not have been there, but God provided me with so much love and support yesterday that I had to stop and say a prayer of thanks for His goodness!

I remembered tuloy during the pre-cana seminar yesterday, the speaker was talking about in-laws and said na :" Pakibagayan niyo in-laws niyo, kasi di naman kayo mahal niyan, di naman kayo anak nila e..." Jasper and I looked at each other nalang. After the seminar I told Jasper, "Hon, di totoo yung sinasabi niya, time and again, in more ways than one, for the seven years that we have been together, your family has shown me how much they love me and how I am a part of your family. Yes we may have differences but that doesn't mean that they don't love me. I just want you to know, that even if our family (meaning my mom, dad and siblings) may not be that showy, I know deep inside that they love you also." My honey, being the senti-person that he is (like me! hehe!) shed tears. He was very happy daw that I was happy with his family. It was important to him daw. Haay!

So all of us were pooped out! nakakapagod but we were all happy! On Tuesday, off we go to meet Alex Franco to brainstorm for our cake design! Yumm! Just thinking about his cakes makes me hungry! Tapos, October, final fitting of gowns. So much to do, so little time :-/

Pre-Cana Seminar and a shock!

We had our Pre-Cana Seminar today. It wasn't as in depth as the 'Discovery Weekend' but we learned a lot! The seminar started at 2:00 PM. We were asked to be there at 1:00PM yun pala there was this guy na videographer who will be showing pa samples of his works. (he's friends with the Parish Priest e, Canonical Interview palang, mega plugging na si Fr. Tupino sakanya. Tapos while I was being interviewed, chinika niya si Jasper dun sa may Parish Office) His video samples were nothing spectacular, I was even bored but when he inserted this second tape of what he calls his 'Extreme Digital' package I bolted up my seat! Intro palang my eyes were huge na! Why?...Because what he showed us was the exact video of one of the samplers ni Jason Magbanua!!! I forgot na the names of the couple, basta I knew it was Jason Magbanua's work kasi I remembered that I really liked the editing of that particular video. Yun yung foreign ata yung couple, tapos yung background music was yung 'Thousand Miles' there was even a part there na aliw na aliw ako, the part where the bride was asked : "So, how does the bride feel?" tas the bride answered: "Nervous! I feel like I'm gonna be late!" As in it was the exact video! The only difference was, he had the whole coverage. Eh kasi shempre yung nasa sampler ni Jason Magbanua was only short. Tapos I was whispering kay Jasper na "Kay Jason M. yan!!" Jasper was alaso shocked! But his theory was baka daw relative ng couple itong videographer na ito. I said naman : "Wrong pa din, kasi if hindi sha ang nagedit nyan, why show it as something you edited diba?" Hay I dont know the whole story but in the end, wala din naginquire sakanya about his services. I just find it uncomfortable kasi couples were there for the Pre-Cana Seminar. We were told it was 1PM -6PM , yun pala, meron pang commercial/advertisement ng product nya. In my opinion, he should've just gave us his brochure tapos dun nalang sa office niya magpakita ng sample. All the couples there looked bored!
So anyway, the seminar was quick, everything about Marriage was discussed, plus other factors such as the different personalities and how to handle them. Jasper and I learned that we both use our left-brain more than our right barin. Jasper was an Informal-Analytical person, while I was an Informal-Supporter. =) Although we learned a lot at the Twin Hearts' Pre-Cana Seminar, I think we would've had more fun and learned more things at the Dicovery Weekend where discussions were more in-depth and more interactive. Kaso way out of our budget na to attend the DW. =(
Tomorrow is Gown measurement day! Excited and at the same time pensive! There's gonna be a lot of people to attend to! I am also sad because my mom and sister woouldnt be able to join us. =,( My mom has this pilgrim to go to, and my sister naman daw may project. As in I felt so bad and I was crying talaga. Kasi I told them about this day since June pa, paulit ulit ako, tapos my mom said last week lang that she can't make it sa measurements tapos my sister txted me last night lang. Sabi ko nga kay Jasper nagtatampo na ako sa kanila kasi they were my family and yet sakanila pa ako namromroblema and sakanila pa ako di nakakakuha ng support. Pag nasa house nga di napaguusapan ang wedding namin and to think once a week lang ako umuuwi. Parang di sila excited for us. =( All the hurt I felt nung dati pa bumalik kaya I was bawling like a baby. Our family was never close. My mom and dad were never affectionate. I felt like I was alone. Buti nalang Jasper's Mom and Dad were really supportive and loving. They even helped me prepare for this day and they comforted me awhile ago. Haay! The stress that a bride-to-be has to go through! =(

An Update long overdue ;)

As previously posted, it's hard working on the night shift kasi di ako nakakablog! hahaha! Kaya ayan delayed nanaman ang update.

Wedding preparations are moving a bit. Last August 4, we had our canonical interview at the Parish of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. We had fun cause it turned out to be one of those light, whimsical, bonding moments I have with Jasper. We we're laughing as we answered the forms cause we kept peeking at each others papers and answers. Then Fr. Tupino III, the parish priest asked both of us some questions. He asked Jasper if he wasn't married yet and of course Jasper said "No, Father" and Fr. Tupino said, "Are you sure?" I was trying my best not to laugh cause Jasper was looking at me like "Is this priest for real?" (Turned out that during his individual interview, Fr. Tupino asked him the same question thrice! hahahaha!) Then came the individual interview. I went first. Fr. Tupino just asked me the same questions on the form. He also asked some out of the blue questions like "Do you agree that sacrifice is a part of marriage?" to which I gave him a very lenghty answer! haha! I must've bored him out of his wits cause after that question, he immediately asked for Jasper. hahaha! The canonical interview was quick, roughly 15-30 minutes for us both. It was fun!

After the canonical interview, we submitted our misalette to the parish office for checking/proofreading. Then they gave us our wedding banns to be submitted to our respective parishes. We were then asked to go back on the 14th for our Pre-Cana Seminar. I hope we also enjoy the Pre-Cana Seminar. =) I'm looking forward to it. :)

From the Parish office, Jasper requested that we go inside the church. It was a gesture I appreciated cause I felt his excitement for the wedding. As a bride-to-be, I know how it feels like when it seems our grooms-to-be don't show much interest in the wedding planning. So, I was touched, but kept quiet, waiting to see what would happen next. It was a beautiful day, with the sun out, birds chirping, and the wind blowing. It was also pretty quiet there. So we sat at one of the pews at the back. We were silent, enjoying the moment. Then Jasper spoke up, "Hon, I am so excited about our wedding. I can almost imagine it na. I can imagine na your bridal walk and for sure I will bawl like a baby." I was so touched but told him :"Hon, ako din, I'm sure I will shed tears but don't cry to hard or too loud naman, people might think pinilit lang kita pakasal sakin!" and we both laughed! Hahaha! Sometimes ganyan kami, nasisira ang magic of the moment sa mga kalokohan namin pareho! Hahaha! But nonetheless, I was really touched sa sinabi niya. It again assured me that he was really excited as I am about our union as husband and wife ;-).

Okay on to other stuff...

Gown measurements on Sunday, August 15! I am so excited. I don't know if I lost even a single pound of weight but what the heck! I don't care na! ;-) Farley Castro will be the one doing my bridal gown and the entourage gowns. Measurements will be done at Jasper's house kasi mas malaki sala nila hehe. Kaya Jasper's mom and I are doing some planning cause there will be a lot of people there on Sunday. Grocery time!

I was also able to contact Alex Franco, our cake supplier. We will be meeting him on the 17th to discuss our cake design. He used to bring a free cake for his clients during meetings like this. I still hope he does! Yumm!!

Invite Drafts are done! Whew! Whats left to do is finalize the bridal entourage so we could start printing! I'm scheduled to visit Starpaper Corp. this friday to buy papers for our invites and misalette cover.

It's going to be one hectic but exciting weekend!!

Thank God for John and Benz Rana, moderators of the W@W e-group! This group of brides and grooms to be are a big big help to soon to wed couples! I've a lot of questions in my mind that I posted yesterday and I got tons of inputs from the W@Wies! It's such a nice group.
