Photo for the Day
This will be my photo for today. This is a part of the home tour the Rebel and I did. This one is my favorite of the bunch. The picture is sort of mysterious and feels like it has a story to tell. I also like the contrasting colors of the stairs and the flip flop.

Ordinary Things
The Rebel and I have been having some wonderful time together. Not really going places as I hoped we'd do but more of staying at home and seeing things in a new light. That is one of the things I love about photography, you see things in new perspective, the mundane, ordinary things become unordinary when seen through the viewfinder. The other day, The Rebel and I went through the house and captured stuff that I pass by everyday. Things that I neglect. But when captured by the Rebel...

HID Lights
Sunday, December 16, 2007
I recently saw a wedding picture that was taken at night. I was awed by how well the lighting was. Much to my surprise, I found out that the light they used were zenon lights from the grooms truck! It was an awesome idea. It runs out the lighting equipment went ahead to the reception venue so they had nothing to use until they thought of the groom's truck. It turned out really great! If you are curious, Zenon lights are High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting that is really great in lighting your path while driving down the road. This newest dimension in lighting will be really useful when you're driving and suddenly find yourself in the middle of a storm and couldn't see the road. It would be a real life saver, I bet! If you are interested, these babies are sold at BuyAutoTruckAccessories.com. They carry Hella and Optilux Zenon lights which are engineered in Germany.

On Mortgages
Tuesday, December 11, 2007
It is still fresh in my memory. The day my mom and dad announced we will be moving because my grandfather mortgaged the house and is not able to pay anymore. It was the first time I have heard about mortgages and I honestly didn't have the teeniest clue about it at the time. My father explained that my grandfather did his best and even tried to find some cheap mortgages to no avail. What made me remember? Well because my cousin in the UK and her husband are currently planning on a remortgageand are currently searching the net and comparing plans. I honestly am proud with both of them when it comes to financial matters. They're just so good in saving up and using their funds. Well, at least when the time comes for me and the husband to take out a mortgage, we'd have people to go to for advice, eh?

Bookcases
Friday, December 07, 2007
So as usual, it's the www for me. I searched and found a site that offers Solid Oak Bookcases in various styles. BarnFurniture has the most amazing sets of book cases I was literally drooling. I want I want! And did you know many of their bookcases include free shipping? Yes FREE! And just by providing your zip code, they can tell you if they deliver to your area, show special pricing and even help you find a showroom! How cool is that huh? Not a lot of shops offer that.
Now our only dilemma is we can't seem to agree on a style that we want. He wants a Mission bookcase with doors while I want 2 of the Traditional Oak Bookcase and also the Mahogany Corner bookcase. You should have seen the husbands eyes, it was wide as a platter thinking of the cost! But you know, when we checked, the prices are quite reasonable. To the husband's relief!

The Peso and The Rebel
On a lighter note, 1 tulog na lang and I'll see the Rebel. I am now planning for a trip - no make that trips sometime next year to put the Rebel to good use hihihi! Kaso, I am confused now. My colleague is insisting I buy the Nikon D40x instead. I know they're both good cameras but I can't decide which I really want. Bahala na tomorrow. :P
Plus the company just announced today that they have a tie up with Fitness First. Whee! Easier cause salary deduction ang monthly payments. But my friend is saying we go to Gold's Gym, cheaper daw. Any thoughts?

A Samsung LCD
Sunday, December 02, 2007
Aside from the Rebel, I'd really want to have our very own samsung 40 inch LCD! Can I just have both? Well, unfortunately not. Our savings couldn't take that big a hit! My friend is suggesting I get it over the internet but I'd rather not. When buying appliances I'd rather go to a store and check it out myself. Good thing there's Krillion.com. Krillion can help you find the exact TV you want at retailers nearest you with their comprehensive product, pricing and location information. Based on their unique localization engine, they provide the most accurate results available. Check them out!

5 Things
I was tagged by Yen. Thanks Yen! I hope you and little peanut are doing okay.
Okay this tag is called Five in a Row:
1. Name one thing you do everyday.
Blogging! lol!
2. Name two things you wish you could learn.
Well, one would be to speak French. and two, learn all about photography.
3. Name 3 things that remind you of your childhood.
a. The smell of burning wood. Back in Cotabato, my grandma has this huge oven where she uses firewood to cook her sumptous feasts. Now everytime I smell firewood, I reminisce.
b. COD. I dont know what these letters really stand for but this is a place in cubao before where they showcase some Christmas lights and huge dancing figurines. I remember my dad taking us there and he would always put me on his shoulders so I can see the show.
c. Sate Mi from Quick Snack. This is a quaint little Chinese resto on Carvajal street in Binondo where my parents would always buy Sate Mi guisado for us. We always ate there and even up to now, go there for a does of that delicious noodles! :)
4. Name four things that you love to eat but rarely do.
a. Tocino. I loe this but if I eat this often I am afraid I'd have a heart attack lol!
b. Cashew Nuts. Mainly because they are expensive.
c. A certain pasta from California Pizza Kitchen. Sorry for the life of me I keep forgetting the name of that dish.
d. Longganisa from Bacarra. - 'nuff said lol!
5. Name 5 things that make you feel good.
a. Spending time with the husband
b. Holding my camera and just shoot and shoot to my hearts content
